A. Design Concept – The Bamboo Gate
Bamboo structure system has a long history and tradition in Hong Kong. It is widely used for major construction sites, stages for god-revering Chinese opera, advertising signs and even artwork, etc. It is the most primitive, common, versatile, convenient, neat and cost-effective tool, and relates closely with the daily life of Hong Kong people. Bamboo structure has made an immense contribution to development of Hong Kong. It reflects the typical culture and tradition of Hong Kong, and it reminds us of the Hong Kong people’s forward-looking spirit and hardworking core values.
