C. Sustainable Design
Incorporated with the mechanic ventilation system, the allowance for natural ventilation is also considered by adopting operable structures on the office sides. Sunlight penetration is well located to ensure most areas are naturally lighted so that artificial lighting is dramatically reduced. Sub-tropical plants are adopted at the internal central green court, terrace garden and roof garden, to improve air quality and reduce room temperature. The plants also absorb CO2, dust and pollutants while producing oxygen. Rainwater is to be collected to water plants and flush toilets. The above methods make this scheme an environmental friendly, energy saving and sustainable one.
